Not only does the hotel boast gorgeous rooms but it located 200 meters from the city’s Mass Rapid Transit (MRT) system where you can access any destination that you wish to visit in Bangkok.

For these reasons, we were very excited to stay at the hotel to see if it is a good hotel for couples and experience it for ourselves!!

Pinnacle Lumpinee Park Hotel Review

We stayed at Pinnacle Lumpinee Park for two nights in Bangkok and were very happy with our experience at the hotel. The hotel prides itself on providing quiet sleep in the middle of Bangkok’s Central Business and Embassy District.

If you are busy sightseeing in Bangkok, Pinnacle Hotel provides incredible value for money as it is the perfect combination of comfort and affordability.

Despite technically being rated a 3 star hotel, the quality of the rooms are on par with many 4 star hotels we have stayed in. The hotel premises is also large and had all the facilities that you could hope for in quality accommodation.

The reception area when you first enter the hotel is gorgeous and (as it was Christmas time when we visited the hotel) it was beautifully decorated in Christmas decorations.

The hotel also offers guests the use of a small pool & a pretty impressive jacuzzi for a cool down after a long day of sightseeing. We also loved that the hotel has brand new gym facilities and a particularly good buffet breakfast – if you are looking to site see in Bangkok, what more could you ask for?

After staying at Pinnacle Lumpinee Park we can understand why it is rated in the Top 10 3 Star Hotels in Bangkok.

The Rooms at Pinnacle Lumpinee Park

The hotel has 179 rooms in total. Being a large hotel, it caters for a wide range of guests and has many different rooms depending on your budget and the type of room you desire.

These include superior rooms, deluxe rooms, pinnacle rooms & suites. The hotel is also very kid friendly so there are also rooms available that are suitable for families.

We stayed in a Pinnacle Room and we would highly recommend it for a little extra luxury. The room was large, clean and modern – everything we needed for a short stay in Bangkok.

We were also very impressed with the size of the room – there was plenty of space to open large suitcases.

The room included a large comfortable double bed, a lounge for relaxing and a table and chair to use a laptop or read a book.

We appreciated the very large double window in the room (as it let a lot of natural light into the room).

We also noticed that there is a DVD player in the room which would be great for families who wish to entertain young children in the evening.

The bathroom had everything you could need for a comfortable stay in Bangkok including a large walk in shower.

The hotel also provided ample amenities to use during the stay including shampoo, conditioner, body wash, shower cap and moisturiser.

During our stay, the guest relations manager also toured us through a deluxe room at the hotel. These are the most popular accommodation at Pinnacle as they provide fantastic value for money in Bangkok. Aside from being slightly smaller & without the luxurious Pinnacle lounge chair, the rooms are very similar to the signature Pinnacle rooms.

We would 100% recommend booking a deluxe room for the best value accommodation in the hotel.

However, if you looking for that extra bit of comfort, we would recommend booking a Pinnacle room as they are the signature room of the hotel and include a very comfortable lounge chair. They are also located on the 14th floor (the same floor as the gym & swimming pool which is very convenient!)

The hotel recently went about renovations which included increasing the wifi speed so now there is fast wifi in all the rooms at the hotel! Definitely a winner in our books!

The Hotel Facilities

The hotel has all the facilities you could wish for in a hotel – one of the reasons that the hotel is such great value. These include:

  • 2 Banquet rooms
  • Rooftop pool and Jacuzzi
  • Sauna and Stream Room
  • Fitness Center
  • Internet Stations
  • Wifi
  • Laundry
  • Tour desk
  • Baby cots
  • Parking

The hotel continually undergoes renovations to ensure it is up to a high standard. However, they are doing so on a gradual basis so not to affect guests’ time & enjoyment at the hotel.

So far, the hotel has renovated the gym area with completely new equipment. The gym is a relatively large area that has everything you need to get a good work out going.

Guests are permitted to use all the facilities of the hotel after check out and the hotel even offers guests the use of shower facilities so they can be clean & fresh after a long day sightseeing before getting on a flight. Pretty great service!

The hotel is also home to 4 pet birds which guests are free to handle. While we didn’t prove to be bird whisperers, we saw many guests who managed to hold the birds in their hands. The hotel is also has some pretty impressive large fish to admire in the coffee area.

The Hotel Restaurants

Probably our favourite part of the hotel was the amazing rooftop bar known as ‘The View Restaurant’ which not only serves amazing food but has a fabulous view over the Bangkok skyline and also over the hotel pool.

We tried four of the chef’s specialty meals at The View Restaurant. All of the food we tried was of very high quality (and also very delicious). The prices at the restaurant for the serving size and quantity we received were also very reasonable.

The meals we tried were the Pad Tai with River Prawn, Grilled Pork with Korean Sauce, Grilled Beef with Black Pepper Sauce and Cuttlefish stir fried with Chili Paste. We washed all these delicious meals down with two ice cold beers as we admired the view of the skyline.

The Pad Thai  was huge and absolutely delicious. We were also very impressed with the presentation of the Pad Thai as it was wrapped in an omelette and topped off with two giant shrimp. All I can say is wow!

The second meal we tried was the Grilled Beef with Black Pepper Sauce which was equally as delicious. The serving size was very generous and the meal itself was mouthwatering – the peppery beef melted in your mouth & came with perfectly cooked stir fried vegetables.

For seafood lovers, we also tried the Cuttlefish stir fried with Chilli Paste. The staff warned us that this meal was a little hot however, we found it to be just the perfect amount of heat to add flavour to the dish. The seafood itself was cooked to perfection, there is nothing worse than chewy Cuttlefish so we were very happy that this dish melted in our mouth.

The last meal we tried was Grilled Pork with Korean Sauce. We have been to Korea and the meal was just as good as the Korean meals served there. This may have been the favourite meal as the Korean sauce was absolutely delicious.

We loved sitting at the amazing rooftop restaurant. However, if you prefer you can have any of the meals we tried delivered to you as room service.

The other restaurant available at the hotel is the Restaurant Gallery Cuisine. This is the main restaurant of the hotel where you can enjoy a wide selection of foods from both West and East.

This restaurant also serves an amazing buffet breakfast each morning.

Most rooms at the hotel have breakfast included in the room rate.

However, if it is not included it is worthwhile paying a little extra for – it is large and has everything you could want on a breakfast buffet from eggs any way, to waffles to a pancake machine and a very large variety of hot Thai dishes.

The breakfast buffet had everything that you would find on a Western Buffet but on top of all the usual items, there is also a large variety of Thai lunch or dinner dishes available. We think this is fantastic as Thai meals are so delicious!

On Pinnacle’s buffet there were 3 different noodle meals, fried rice, beef stir fry and chicken nuggets among other items. It is safe to say we rolled out of the breakfast buffet full and very happy!

The Staff at Pinnacle

From the moment we arrived, the staff were simply delightful. Despite having flight delays, it was not a problem arriving at the hotel at midnight. Despite the late time, we were still greeted by the bag porter and reception staff with a smile.

The Guest Relations Manager, Abby sits at a desk just outside the main restaurant and is available for anything guests need during their stay.

I told her that I wanted to get my nails done while in Bangkok and she directed me to the Silom night market (that she personally uses) where you can get your nails done for 300 Baht –  now that’s service!

The Area & What to do in Bangkok

We have previously stayed in the old town of Bangkok and now having experienced the Lumpinee Park area, we much prefer the area where this hotel is located. While the old town was absolutely dead in the evenings, the area surrounding this hotel was alive and happening.

We loved that the hotel is located 200 meters from the city’s Mass Rapid Transit (MRT) system. From here you can access any destination that you wish to visit in Bangkok including the world-renown shopping and entertainment venues of Bangkok.

The hotel is located the following distance from these attractions:

  • Silom market – 1 metro stop or a 20 minute walk;
  • Nana area (where you can access great shopping & nightlife) – 20 minutes by taxi;
  • Financial district Sathorn – 5 minutes by taxi; and
  • The Old Town of Bangkok – 20 minutes by taxi.

How to get to the Hotel?

There are amazing connections to Bangkok from anywhere in Thailand as well as most international destinations. Search here for all available flights to Bangkok

From Suvarnabhumi Airport airport, the hotel is very easy to access. You can catch a Taxi for around 300 Baht or the hotel can organize a transfer for you. It only takes around 30 minutes to reach the hotel by taxi from the airport.

We caught the hotel’s airport transfer back to the airport & it was an amazing service. The car was very comfortable and the driver arrived to collect us on time. We would recommend getting this service (especially from the hotel to the airport) as it is far more reliable than getting a taxi. If we had not organized the hotel’s transfer the night before, we likely would have missed our international flight.
