Honest Airline Reviews: What it’s like to fly the world’s best and worst airlines
During our travels we’ve racked up hundreds of flights on airlines around the world including all over Europe, North, Central and South America, Asia, Africa and more.
Safety is obviously our number 1 priority, but provided the airline has a decent safety record we’re willing to try all types of airlines and planes all the way from Emirates First Class on a Boeing A380 to a De Havilland Canada Dash 8-400 from Palawan to Cebu in the beautiful Philippines.
What you can expect in our airline reviews is brutal honesty about all features from the booking procedure (including sneaky fees – our pet peeve), to baggage policies, boarding procedures, in-flight entertainment and meals.
Budget Airlines Europe
Flying within Europe is cheaper than anywhere else in the world. You can find cheap flights in Europe from as little as €1 thanks to budget airlines like RyanAir, Easyjet, WizzAir, GermanWings, AirBaltic and more.
But flying with Europe’s budget carriers comes with a caveat: a lot of the extra comforts you might have become accustom to are gone.
Factor in the cost of stowed luggage and sometimes even carry-on bags. Don’t expect a meal on any budget airline and be prepared to ride a bus to your plane then board via stairs: this is the norm in Europe.

Our top tip for flying Europe’s Budget Airlines?
Visitors to Europe need to keep an eye out for this new unexpected surprise: coerced seat reservation fees.
Not like – would you like to sit in Row 1 for $20 or do you want extra legroom?
More like, ‘oh, you don’t want to make a seat reservation? That’s a shame because our system has allocated you to Row 6 but your spouse will be in Row 46. Are you sure you wouldn’t like to sit together for €8 each?’
