Searcys at the Gherkin Review: A Great London Restaurant!

Looking for an honest Searcys at the Gherkin review? You have come to the right place.

Recently, I had a girls night at Searcys at the Gherkin London. Safe to say, the building is not the only impressive thing about this place – the food is equally to die for.

Searcys at the Gherkin London Review – What to expect?

I visited Searcys at the Gherkin in London on the opening of their Glasshouse restaurant.

We ate in their private dining area, sampling the the ‘Table of Tastes Menu’ with the dinner menu paired with Perrier-Jouët champagnes. So good!

If you are looking for somewhere special to dine in London – this is certainly the place to go.

The Glasshouse at the Gherkin

As a summer festivity, the Gherkin launched ‘The Glasshouse at the Gherkin’ in partnership with Perrier-Jouët Champagne.

Basically, the famous Iris Bar, located on the very top of The Gherkin has been completely transformed into a lush, green botanical glasshouse.

It is the Gherkin’s vision to create an oasis where guests can sip on Perrier-Jouët champagnes while enjoying the iconic view in somewhat of a fairytale garden.

If you would like to experience this wonderland, the Glasshouse is open from 15 July – 1 September.

The Food at the Gherkin

The food at the Gherkin is beyond impressive. We sampled the Table of Tastes menu as specified above.

Usually, I am not a huge fish eater. However, the trout was absolutely sublime. It wasn’t an overly fishy tasted and cooked to perfection. Highly recommended.

If you love roast duck you simply must try the Confit Gressingham duck leg at The Gherkin.

I love love love duck and this was absolutely delicious.

The duck fell off the bone and melted in your mouth. The carrot and lentil pairing was absolutely perfect.

Out of all the dishes we tried, desert was definitely my absolute favourite.

It might not look like traditional cheesecake but this white chocolate cheesecake was probably the best I have ever tasted.

I particularly enjoyed the rhubarb compote it was paired with – absolutely delicious!

Each dish was beautifully paired with a glass of Perrier-Jouët champagne. If you haven’t tried this champagne do so ASAP.

We loved our dining experience at The Gherkin! Would you like to visit? Let us know in the comments below.
